Filipino-Canadian singer-comedian Mikey Bustos, who also happens to be an internet sensation, recently uploaded a video compilation featuring opinions and reactions on the five Philippine presidentiables. What makes the said video different is that, the commentaries did not come from his fellow Filipinos, but from people of various races.
The said video featured people coming from the United Kingdom, United States, Colombia, Mexico, China, Thailand, South Kprea, and Italy who are completely clueless about the identity of the five Philippine presidentiables namely Jejomar Binay, Miriam Defensor-Santiago, Rodrigo Duterte, Grace Poe Llamanzares, and Mar Roxas.
The participants were asked to give their opinions and comments on their first impression of the five presidentiables. Basically, the judgements given were based merely on the candidates’ physical appearances.
The first presidential candidate featured was Grace Poe. Most of the comments about the said presidentiable suggested that Grace had a motherly vibe because of the way she dresses and carries herself. However, one particular participant said that despite having a mother-like physique, Grace still keeps a mysterious persona.
“She looks like she can be a kind auntie at first, but when I look at her again, perhaps she hides something behind that face.”

Presidential aspirant Miriam Santiago was next featured in the video. Almost all participants found the candidate intimidating because of her “terrifying” glares.
“She kinda looks like the scary grandma, who you know, when you go to her house she says, ‘Don’t touch this!’ So you don’t touch it, because if you touch it, she’s going to give you a whoopin’ (slap).”
Next in line was presidential aspirant Rodrigo Duterte who, just like Jejomar Binay, received mostly funny comments about his physical appearance. However, a couple of participants shared that they see the said candidate as someone who has a “kind heart.”
“He looks like the kind of person you would see driving a taxi, maybe.”
For the last presidentiable, Mar Roxas, most participants commented on how well-read and educated he looks like compared to the other candidates. However, some participants based their judgement merely on Mar’s glasses and the way he looks.
“Ok this one for me is scoring points cause he looks like a busy person, he seems very involved.”
The video, which was uploaded last Wednesday (April 13, 2016) became trending on various social media sites after garnering almost 40,000 views as of writing. All five presidential aspirants are preoccupied campaigning for the upcoming 2016 presidential elections.
