After years of being together, GMA actress Karel Marquez can finally say that she and beau, Sean Farinas are finally walking down the aisle soon.
Through a series of Instagram uploads on Saturday (May 7, 2016), 29-year-old actress revealed that her longtime boyfriend proposed to her while going on a romantic sunset cruise.
“Now that I have told my family and friends… I guess I could breathe now (I cried so much during sunset) and I guess we are going to tell this to the universe of course…. WE GOT ENGAGED TODAY”
On a separate post, the GMA actress shared that her businessman boyfriend surprised her on Friday (May 6, 2016) afternoon with a sunset cruise. Karel also expressed her gratitude and appreciation to all her fans and supporters who made the special occasion even better by congratulating her and her fiancé.
Moreover, Karel took time to share how much of a good father figure Sean has been to her two kids, Keiley and Kyler who are her children with former husband, Armand de Guzman. The GMA actress pondered on how Sean was able to build a strong bond and relationship with her kids over the five years that they have been together.
“Keiley just turned 7, Kyler just turned 6, and you and I have been together for 5. Today, it’s safe to say that the only thing better than finally having you as my fiancé is actually the children having you around. A person like you proves that love has no boundaries of biology. You chose to love us even if you did not have to. You chose to love me the first time we met, a time when I was at my worst. Look at us now. We are raising the kids well and I cannot thank you enough for being my partner. For the past 5 years, I have never felt so safe, loved, and treasured like a rare gem. I have been through so much. The rock bottom kinda pain. I was reminded by God that nothing worth having comes easy and He won’t give me all the trials if I couldn’t handle it – but I did – and I stood stronger than ever. I found my soulmate. We always say that to each other at least once a week when we do or say the same thing at exactly the same time. That’s an amazing gift to receive. See, you are not perfect, and so am I, but despite the flaws and mistakes, the love we share is enough to be perfect. If only everyone knew our story. Grabe naman talaga ang balik ni Lord. Sobra sobra. With The Lord’s guidance and grace, we can conquer anything. Let the countdown begin!”
Two days after getting engaged, Karylle uploaded a photo of her “first” engagement ring which she captioned with:
“The thing that looks so simple, seems so beautiful to me. Good morning! Cheers to my first engagement ring, first future wedding, to a man who loves Keiley, Kyler, and I unconditionally, to more future kids, and to a family life blessed by God… This is an amazing Mother’s Day gift. You will know it once it happens to you. My heart is filled with so much love and joy.”
