Heavy rain and power outage forced the ABS-CBN comedian and ‘It’s Showtime’ host Vice Ganda to cancel his performance at the grand victory party of President-elect Rodrigo Duterte last Saturday (June 5, 2016) at Davao City’s Crocodile Park.
On his Twitter account on Saturday, the unkabogable comedian-host expressed how sad he was after not being able to perform because of the unfortunate incident.
The 40-year-old ABS-CBN comedian-host also shared a photo of him waving at the fans which he captioned with, “I love you Davao! #DU31″
Despite the cancellation of the Unkabogable Star’s performance, Vice Ganda managed to meet and have a photo op with the well-known Presidential son, Sebastian ‘Baste’ Duterte and the President-elect himself.
The photos were uploaded on the comedian-host’s personal Instagram account on Sunday (June 5, 2016). Vice wittily captioned his photo with Baste by saying “Beauty and the Baste”, which was inspired by his 2015 Metro Manila Film Festival award-winning movie ‘Beauty and the Bestie.’
On the other hand, Vice captioned his photo with the incoming Philippine President with, “The PRESIDENT and his VICE.”
As seen on the comments section of Vice’s Instagram upload, fans and supporters are pushing for Baste’s guest appearance on the ABS-CBN Sunday comedy talk show, ‘Gandang Gabi Vice’ where his father, President-elect Duterte previously appeared in July 2015.
The originally planned 12-hour “DU31: One Love, One Nation Thanksgiving Party” with approximately 500,000 attendees ended earlier than expected because of the unexpected incident.
