ABS-CBN actor Gerald Anderson and brother Ken Anderson take on the uniform as newly-inducted officers of the Philippine Coast Guard yesterday, July 4, following the footsteps of their father, Captain Gerald Anderson Sr.
Gerald posted a photo of him with his father and brother during the induction on his Instagram account.
“Captain Gerald Anderson Sr., Lt. Gerald Anderson Jr., Lt. Ken Anderson. Im coming after your rank @rjtours captain.. #philippines #guardiansofthesea #military #searchandrescue #k9,” Gerald wrote on the photo’s caption.
Lieutenant Gerald Anderson Jr. and Lieutenant Kenneth Anderson are now part of the Philippine Coast Guard K9 Special Support Squadron, a newly-formed auxiliary unit created to support the K9 search and rescue capacity of the country.
“Signing the Oath of the Philippine Coast Guard. Today, on Fil-Am Friendship Day, we started a special squadron to support the K9 Search and Rescue capability of the Philippines. Before becoming official members of the PCG, the brothers completed the Water, Safety, and Rescue (WASAR) course after months of intensive training.
