Jake Ejercito denies joining ‘My Love from the Stars’ Filipino remake

After Alden Richards declined the lead role in the Filipino remake of a popular Korean television series, Jake Ejercito’s name popped up as the potential actor to play the character of Matteo Do in GMA 7’s version of ‘My Love from the Stars’.

Jake gained popularity after his appearance on Eat Bulaga’s ‘Kalyeserye’ as Yaya Dub’s classmate. He was rumored to star alongside the Ultimate Star Jennylyn Mercado who would take the role of the series’ female protagonist, Steffi Cheon.

However, the mestizo cutie dismissed the speculations in his Twitter account. In his tweets dated August 11, Thursday, Jake said that he would not be doing television projects anytime soon.

“Just to put an end to some speculations and outrageous comments, I am not doing a TV show anytime soon,” he wrote.

Jake also explained that his decision was not in any way affected by the role, or the show in general, rather, he would like to focus on his studies first.

“Nothing against the people behind the show though! It’s just that my school sched won’t permit me to do anything time-consuming,” he wrote in another tweet.
