James Reid, Daniel Padilla win big at MOR Pinoy Music Awards

More than being halves of phenomenal love teams, James Reid and Daniel Padilla have another thing in common: being successful recording artists.

In the recently concluded MOR Pinoy Music Awards at the Kia Theater in Cubao, James definitely brought home the bacon, and more, when he was recognized as the Male Artist of the Year. James was also awarded the title Best Collaboration of the Year with girlfriend Nadine Lustre for their song ‘Hanap Hanap’.

Meanwhile, Daniel also won big in the MORPMA as the Phenomenal Artist of the Year. Former ‘The Voice Philippines’ semi-finalist Morisette Amon was named Female Artist of the Year while OPM Legend, singer, and songwriter Rey Valera was bestowed with the OPM Lifetime Achievement Award.

Former Pinoy Big Brother housemate and young actor Bailey May was named the Best New Artist.

Songwriting duo and real-life sweethearts Thyro Alfaro and Yumi Lacsamana’s hit ‘Triangulo’ was hailed as the Song of the Year. Darren Espanto’s self-titled album ‘Darren’ was named as Album of the Year.

Chinita princess Kim Chiu also received an award for her song ‘Mr. Right’ which won LSS Hit of the Year.

The Best Revival Song of the Year was awarded to Daryl Ong’s rendition of ‘Ikaw Na Nga’ while Kurt Fick’s ‘Hahasula’ was recognized as the Regional Song of the Year.
