Last August 11, Thursday, GMA 7 officially launched a new set of heartthrobs that will surely captivate hearts with the good looks, killer dance moves, and swoon-worthy voices. In a press and bloggers conference at Kuya J’s in Quezon City, the network formally introduced its newest boyband One Up.
The group, which is comprised of 10 dashing members from different talent contests, were trained and mentored by concert and theater director Freddie Santos and singer-songwriter Jeffrey Hidalgo.
In a report by Pep.ph, One Up’s Brent Valdez was quoted saying that they want to be known as a “talented boyband,” unlike other boybands in the Philippines that come and go.
One Up will send fans swooning with their dance moves and singing skills, according to One Up member and former Popstar Kids grand champion Ralf King.
Spogify finalist Yasser Marta described their group as having a strong and solid foundation, almost like a brotherhood.
Former Mister Pogi 2012 finalist Dave Bornea explained that the group’s efforts are all for the joy of their fans.
Other members include Arjan Jimenez, Jay Arcilla, Joemari Nielsen, Kevin Sagra, Nikki Co, and Prince Clemente.
