Movies are not only a director’s masterpiece, rather, it is also an actor’s finest work.
In his Instagram account, actor and television host Paolo Ballesteros shared an emotional message that accompanied a sneak peek into his upcoming movie ‘Die Beautiful’ which is at the creative helm of director Jun Robles Lana.
Paolo plays the lead role in the said film, a transgender named Trisha whose only dying wish is to be buried as Katy Perry. However, Trisha’s conservative family went against her final wishes, burying him as a man. Trisha’s group of friends then set out to retrieve her body to fulfill her dying wish and lay her to her final resting place.
In an Instagram post last August 29, Paolo shared the hardships which the movie entailed.
“It’s hard enough to be the lead in a film, much more to play such a character (blisters from hours and hours of packaging tape, packaging tape for junjun) and to do your own makeup transformations (and adjust it yourself on set in front of the camera at 3am in the morning),” he wrote.
However, despite all the difficulties, Paolo shared that bright side of things.
“It was always a happy set. Too happy that I was always looking forward to the next day of filming. It’s because Everyone (From direk Jun to utility) gave his heart and soul to this film. Endured everything because Everyone was inspired with what a beautiful story we have to tell. To Everyone thank you. We can’t wait to show you our Beautiful film. World Premiere soon,” he added.
