“The Voice” officially announced that award-winning singer-songwriter Alicia Keys and Hollywood singer-actress Miley Cyrus will be joining the team in its next season.
Through a couple of posts on the show’s official social media accounts, “The Voice” made the official announcement and revealed that Miley and Alicia will be joining the team in Season 11.
“WHOA! It’s time to welcome #AliciaAndMiley as our new Coaches for Season 11! #TheVoice @aliciakeys @mileycyrus”
For the record, both artists were asked to take part in different seasons of the said show as guest mentors; Miley in its current season and Alicia in Season 7. In Season 11, however, Miley and Alicia will be taking over the seats of current judges Pharrell Williams and Christina Aguilera.
Miley, for her part, dropped the big reveal through a Twitter post on Friday (March 25, 2016). The said post contained
“It’s true! I am going to be the newest judge on Season 11 of The Voice @NBCTheVoice #thevoice”
Alicia and Miley will be joining main stay judges Adam Levine and Blake Shelton for “The Voice” Season 11 which will premiere in September 2016.
