After years of keeping it a secret, Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez finally spoke about her miscarriage of her supposed first child with her husband Ogie Alcasid, which happened before they walked down the aisle last December 22, 2010.
According to a report by GMA’s late-night newscast “Saksi” on Monday evening (March 14, 2016), the GMA singer-actress will be talking about her miscarriage for the first time ever in the upcoming 6th anniversary special of “Tonight With Arnold Clavio.”
As seen on the interview snippet, Regine shared on national television that she got pregnant before marrying Ogie in December 2010; but because of an unfortunate turn of events, the Asia’s Songbird was not able to keep the baby.
The GMA singer-actress shared that the incident triggered her depression which lasted for a year. Moreover, losing her supposed first child with Ogie served as her turning point in life, which motivated her to establish a strong relationship with Christ and later on, led her to become a Born Again Christian in 2013.
Aside from being successful with their respective careers, Regine and Ogie are parents to their four-year-old son, Nathaniel James Velasquez Alcasid.
