Avid fans and supporters of the GMA network should stay tuned as GMA 7 launches the newest addition to its lineup of their weeknight primetime series on GMA Telebabad, “Once Again.”
Yet again, GMA 7 will be offering another primetime series that will surely capture the hearts and interests of its viewers this coming May 2, 2016.
“Once Again” is a story about a young man and a young woman who both have a strong faith in love regardless of the fact that they belong to two different social classes. Reign Soriano (to be portrayed by Janine Gutierrez) and Edgar del Mundo (to be portrayed by Aljur Abrenica) will prove that love conquers all—even reincarnation. Being an unica hija, Reign’s parents made it a point to keep their daughter from her lover, Edgar who is just a meek baker. With this in hand, the overprotective parents decided to organize an arranged marriage for Reign and an elite bachelor named Lukas Carbonnel (to be portrayed by Joko Diaz). As Reign and Edgar fight their way through trials and circumstances, fate decides to test their love for one another by taking away their lives—Edgar dies in a fight while Reign passes away due to a traumatic accident.
With the wonders of reincarnation, Reign comes back to life with the identity of Des Javier while Edgar was given another chance by living the life of Aldrin Sanchez. Twenty years after the tragic accident, Des and Aldrin meet again and just like the first time, the two shared a strong feeling of love for one another.
Along with Aljur, Janine, and Joko are other GMA stars that will add life and color to the series namely Jean Garcia (as Madel Mateo), Sheryl Cruz (as Agnes Carbonnel), Chanda Romero (as Carmen Mateo), Emilio Garcia (as Tony Sanchez), Timmy Cruz (as Nancy Sanchez), Thea Tolentino (as Celeste Lacson), Jeric Gonzales (as JV Sanchez), Christopher de Leon (as Ricardo Soriano), Bembol Roco (as Romulo del Mundo), Irma Adlawan (as Cecilia del Mundo), Sharmaine Arnaiz (as Violeta Soriano), and Phytos Ramirez (as the young Lukas Carbonnel).
“Once Again” will be directed by esteemed director Don Michael Perez and is set to be officially launched on Monday (May 2, 2016) on GMA Telebabad.
