Philippine Airlines (PAL) released a statement regarding the complaint of super model Karlie Kloss couple of days after she slammed them on Twitter last Monday (June 6, 2016).
Through a statement which was sent to GMA News Online on Wednesday (June 8, 2016), the airline clarified that Karlie apparently missed her flight because she arrived at 11:40 p.m for her 12:15 a.m flight, long after the check-in counters at JKF Airport were closed. They said:
“We are sorry to hear that Ms. Karlie Kloss was unable to board our PAL flight from New York to Vancouver (PR127) last June 7. As a matter of policy, the PAL check-in counters at JFK (John F. Kennedy) International Airport close one hour before estimated time of departure,”
They added “We are happy to note that Ms. Kloss has gracefully responded to PAL’s initial communication. The airline has likewise sent her a formal letter stating that there was no deliberate intention to cause her any disservice,”
Moreover, PAL is also willing to help the model in getting a refund of her unused ticket or reboooking of her flight by saying that they will be “pleased to serve Ms. Kloss’ travel needs in the future.”
