With Kris Aquino still out from the spotlight because of her two-month hiatus from show business, speculations about the real cause of the delay in her television comeback have loomed over.
Although it has been a month after Kris teased her fans with an update that she met with ABS-CBN’s executives to discuss her return to television, no updates or confirmation on Kris’ comeback has been announced.
In a report by entertainment writer Mario Bautista in his column on Journal Online, he wrote that Kris might be moving over the fence to ABS-CBN’s rival, GMA 7.
“The grapevine says that Kris might be in the new morning show that will be the pre-program of “Eat Bulaga”, now occupied by “Calle Siete” which is not rating well so it will soon be axed,” Bautista wrote.
“There’s also talk that Kris wants to be included in the new movie to be produced by APT Entertainment intended as a Metro Manila filmfest entry, starring Vic Sotto with the loveteam of Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza,” he added.
The rumors were also fueled by Kris’ post on her Instagram account, wherein she shared that she had lunch with TAPE Inc. chairman Antonio Tuviera and director Mike Tuviera.
Also according to Bautista, Kris did not like the deal offered to her by ABS-CBN, with an alleged smaller talent fee and shorter contract duration.
