American idol alumna Jessica Sanchez wowed in her recording of ‘Stronger Together,’ the anthem used by US presidential candidate Hillary Clinton during the Democratic Party’s National Convention in Philadelphia.
The song composed and produced by Carole Bayer Sager, Bruce Roberts and Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds was recorded two days before its debut.
“It was so last minute. I went in the studio, they mixed it that night and they sent it out the next day. It’s crazy to me, because I didn’t think it was going to happen that quick,” the Filipina-American singer told Billboard during an interview.
The singer said that she was honored to sing the song which, according to her, has a powerful message.
“With everything that is going on in the world right now, it’s important for all of us to come together and stay strong. The message is great and it’s great for the campaign. This is the time for us to play our part and go out and vote and be stronger,” Jessica said.
The song will be used throughout Hillary’s campaign until November.
