A supposed to be happy album promotion could have turn into a disaster had it not for the presence of mind of Philippine Airlines (PAL) crew. Actress Toni Gonzaga was on board PR-1857 her way to Cebu to promote her album, when suddenly smoke was detected in the plane’s cockpit.
The pilot decided to turn back to Manila and landed the plane safely with non of the passengers in danger.
On her Instagram account, Toni expressed her gratitude to the pilot and crew of the said flight:
“Hi Cebu.. We were on our way to you when something odd happen in the air and the plane needed to go back. We wanna thank the pilot and crew for being so calm and collected during the whole flight till we were able to land safely. I was really looking forward to promote my album there. In God’s time it will happen soon. Sorry Cebu. Praise God everyone is safe now. See you soon!”
