After months of being teased to the reigning Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach, ABS-CBN actor-singer Sam Milby finally explained the reason why he did not pursue the beauty queen, who previously admitted that she has a huge crush on him.
In an interview with ABS-CBN entertainment journalist MJ Felipe, the 31-year-old actor-singer revealed that he and Pia have known each other for quite some time now. Sam explained that even though he and Pia kept in touch, they preferred to keep things as it is since they were both committed to their respective relationships at that time.
Recently, the 26-year-old beauty queen had a television guesting on ABS-CBN’s late talk show program, “Tonight With Boy Abunda” wherein she was asked to choose between Sam and the man she is currently dating, Mikhail Varshavski. When asked about his reaction upon seeing the said interview, Sam shared:
“It was a funny, awkward moment nga and we don’t really know why. I’ve known Pia for so long.”
Moreover, the ABS-CBN actor-singer explained the reason why he did not pursue Pia now that she is single and named as this year’s Miss Universe.
“Just because she’s Miss Universe (does not mean) I’ll go for her. I don’t find it as the right reason. If I go for her, if I pursue her, I genuinely like her.”
As of the moment, Pia and Sam are reportedly exploring the dating scene with their respective partners. Reports suggest that the ABS-CBN actor-singer is seeing the Filipina-British model, Mari Jasmine while Pia, on the other hand, recently admitted that she is dating the ‘Sexiest Doctor Alive.’
